Knowing how to focus is essential in getting those crystal clear pictures you want. A badly focused, blurry subject can ruin a picture and unfortunately cannot be corrected in Photoshop. So what to do? Contrary to the olden days when you had to focus manually, Autofocus (not te be mistaken by the automatic button!) on your camera is the way to go 95%of the time. They are so accurate that you no longer have to do it manually. Only in case you want to take a shot through a fine mazed net for instance you'll find your camera might have difficulty to focus, but let's be honest how often do we do that?;)

Now what you do might want to do manually is select the autofocus point. If you leave that on automatic too you might get frustrated that the camera chooses a different point to focus on then you had in mind. Because there are too many different camera's to go into detail here, take your manual and set auto focus points on manual.
