"Zambia in all its colours"

 

 

Zambian Network of Youth Organisations (ZANEYO)  organizes for the first time an online photography contest and exhibition open to all youth photographers in Zambia!

 

No matter who you are, if you are into photography as a hobby or you earn a living with it; If you have the shots you get to compete!

 

We aim to give young talents a platform to showcase their best works, while giving the opportunity to improve themselves both in technical as well as entrepreneurial skills. and last but definitely not least we strive to get the crowd involved in photography as an art!

How does it work?

 

From now until the deadline on December the 15th 2013 at 23.59hrs you can send in your pictures in one or more of the following categories:
- people
- nature or wild life
- culture or sports
- making a living

 

You can send in a total of 4 pictures. You can choose if you submit them all in 1 category or in several, as long as you don't exceed the limit of 4.

 

For all the categories a central theme is leading: "Zambia in all its colours" asking you to show the beauty or success of Zambia or its inhabitants.

On this site you find different modules about photography, from technical aspects like aperture and shutterspeed to composition, to information on how to turn your talent and hard work into an actual business. Also we will post regular new blogs depending on the interaction with you! So please let us know what subjects interest you via this site or via twitter or facebook.

Prizes to be won!

 

Each category will have two potential winners: one from the expert jury and one from the public who can vote online on your picture(s). The winning pictures will not only be exhibited in our online galery but will also be exhibited in selected Protea Hotels in Zambia. (see rules and regulations under 'more' for specifics). This means winning the opportunity to showcast your work and make name in photography amongst a big crowd!

 

For the overall winner Phoenix LTD has a great prize: a HAMA tripod Star 63 with a value of almost 500KR! Now you will be equiped to make even better pictures!
